Teamsters Local 769 endorses Deutsch for U.S. Senate

Teamsters Local 769, representing nearly 6,000 working men and women in Florida, today endorsed Congressman Peter Deutsch in his bid to become Florida’s next United States Senator.

“Based upon your twenty plus years of dedication and hard work for organized labor and all working families throughout Florida, Teamsters 769 is proud to offer you our endorsement,” Mike Scott, President of Teamsters 769, wrote in a letter to the Deutsch campaign on Monday. “We’re proud to have you as our friend and we’ll be even more proud to have you as our Senator,” Scott continued. Teamsters 769 is committed to providing early critical support to the Deutsch campaign.

“I’m proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Teamsters and am honored to have their endorsement,” Deutsch remarked. “Together, we’ll fight for the working families of Florida and begin taking America in the right direction again,” he added.
