Local Firefighters Endorse Deutsch

FT. LAUDERDALE — Today the Broward County Council of Professional Firefighters (BCCPFF) held a press conference to announce their endorsement of Peter Deutsch’s candidacy in the Democratic Primary for the US Senate.

Joe Benavides, President and CEO of the Broward County Council of Professional Fire fighters says Peter Deutsch has been a long-time supporter of Broward County firefighters.

"We first endorsed Peter Deutsch when he first ran for Congress, he has voted with us 100 percent on all of our issues all of the time," said Benavides. "We want to be one of the front-line organizations to support Peter."

Rep. Deutsch has a 22-year record of advocacy for the working people of Florida. The BCCPFF endorsement follows last week's endorsement of Rep. Deutsch by the Police Benevolent Association.

"This is a tremendous honor to receive an endorsement from the Broward County Firefighters," said Deutsch. "These men and women work hard to ensure the safety of the people of Broward County. I am extremely proud to receive their support."
